I don't have access to the sonicwall router log.

I get the same error using VirtualBox - it runs NAT by default with no easily configurable bridged networking option. Note: I cannot use Sonicwall on Linux (ubuntu - not supported). The only network adapter that has any connectivity is NAT. I cannot get a bridged connection established, despite it being configured properly upon install (vmnet0 set to bridged). My ultimate goal is to get a (password protected) PocketAce package deployed so that I can log into my VPN from a USB drive and launch an RDP session on my servers. If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this, I'd love to know. (After all, Vista has only been out for a year and a half.) In fact, my host is Windows Vista Ultimate (圆4), and Sonicwall hasn't released a VPN client for this yet. I read this post: This isn't my issue, though, as I'm not running a VPN in my host. I've also tried using both bridged and NAT settings, and still it's a no-go. I've checked my ability to get to the internet, and that is working, so it shouldn't be a network adapter issue, sfaik. The problem is that the "Sonicwall VPN Adapter" starts a constant process of trying to acquire an IP address. After doing the second install, presumably correcting the issue, the interface will start. The first thing that is kind of weird is that I have to install the Globabl VPN client twice, as the first time it doesn't "register", although it doesn't tell you that until after it has "successfully" installed. Either way, I'm running into the same issue. I've got a completely clean and fresh Windows XP install in workstation 6.0.3, and I've also tried cloning it off to a pocket ACE instance as well. I'm also having issues getting the NetExtender to save the URL to authenticate - I really don't want to make my users type in the URL every time, I have to make this user friendly.I'm having an issue trying to get the Sonicwall Global VPN client working in a Windows XP virtual machine. I'm wondering if NetExtender is the best/only solution to work? So, I logged into the SSL Client portal, setup TOTP using Google Authenticator, and then downloaded the NetExtender client. When I started testing this, I realized that if I have the IPSEC setup with the SGVC, then it does not enforce MFA, and I can just log in using my AD credentials. I figure that TOTP MFA is better than email OTP, as email is easier to hack.

I have a test lab with a TZ370, that does LDAPS authentication to AD. I recently realized that I really need to setup MFA. I've played with NetExtender, and Mobile Connect, but really have just used Mobile Connect on Mac computers. I tend to prefer IPSEC vs SSL VPN, and not really sure why other than that is the way I've always done it.

So, I've always used SGVC for my windows users, and don't deal with too many Mac users.
